“Anyone can say they care, So watch their actions and not…..their words.”
We often hear people saying the phrase that “Actions speak louder than words”, what do they mean by uttering those words? Do they mean that actions have a larger impact on different minds as compared to words? or Do they mean words don’t have the power to influence people to the extent the like action do?
A different school of thoughts exists regarding the mentioned phrase, different minds follow different perspectives. Some get influenced just by just words which might be due to their trustworthy and optimistic nature while some lack trust and want a visible result in front of their eyes in the form of actions which might be due to the quality of life they have been through that may include betrayal, fake relationship, and dishonesty.
Actions reflect sheer commitments whereas words are opposite to that. Sometimes words result to be meaningless while actions show the willingness and the actual behavior of people. You can say anything without a second thought but doing what you say requires courage and dedication. so we can say that; actions represents reality whereas words reflect illusion.
People lie all the time and words are cheap; people will say things just to appease others.“ So watch their actions and not…..their words.” You’ll find you can learn A LOT about a person’s true character by watching their behaviors toward you and toward others. This concept applies to almost every situation in a person’s life.
Actions should meet verbal commitments, not conflict them, but if our actions do not change, the words become meaningless. You need to be careful of what you say to someone who loves you if you are not able to support what you say with actions. It is much more effective to simply act the way you wish to instead of giving someone false hope. At the end of the day, actions prove who someone really is while words only show what someone wants to be.
“Actions speak louder than words.”
We must consistently monitor our actions so that they coincide with the words we say. Words are easy to throw around, but it takes a righteous person to follow through with actions that back them up. The way people conduct themselves in different situations is a greater determinant of behavior and character than the words they use to express themselves and people will always hold on to what you do rather than what you say.If you want to convince people to listen to you, you need to do what you say.
Words VS Action
We cannot say words are powerless, with words people have influenced other people to won the hardest battles in their way. so words do have power. Words may drive away fear from hearts. Words are mighty explosive as well. We need to fuel such words with our truest actions and when these actions are not performed in the way the words were spoken turn out to be futile.For Example; If your partner says that he/she wants to spend time together by couldn’t show up repeatedly, it means that they are just communicating and they are not willing to follow up on their promises. Keep in mind- “Love is sustained by action, a pattern of devotion in the things we do for each other every day.” So Pay attention.
Likewise; If someone says that they want to change themselves but repeatedly fails to make an effort, it means that their words are meaningless and they are just are communicating that they aren’t willing to do things differently.
At the end of the day, the words and actions that we choose to do are the mirrors to our souls as actions prove who you really are while words only tell others about our desires. We always need to choose between being mistreated or we can choose to set a boundary. We all deserve second chances, and sometimes a third or fourth but other times we need to open our eyes so that we know when enough is enough. As they say;
“Lips and tongues lie. But actions never do. No matter what words are spoken, actions betray the truth of everyone’s heart.”
